I am definitely not
one of the best ,but being a level 59 sorceress has given me an idea of how to
play a good sorcerer. From all you read and see (in game/videos) Sorcerers are
living ,walking destruction machines our damage is very lightly the highest among
the classes. We are often used as crowd control for we provide the means to
sleep, root and tree the enemies so we decrees the amount of damage on our party
members, aside from that we provide massive damage to take down our enemies
faster.
Armor:
Sorcerers wear cloth and cloth only, despite our stone skin we have very low physical defense that is
why we need to keep our enemies at bay and kill them as quick as possible out
of that very reason we use Magic Boost manastones.A fully socket Magic Boost sorcerer can deal massive damage
and kill his enemy without them even having the chance to land a single
blow. Some tend to socket Magical accuracy as well but keep in mind that as a
sorcerer you need magical accuracy not accuracy for those manastones are for
rangers not us.Magical accuracy is used more by Spirit masters than us but all
that damage is of no use if we don't hit our target, for instance in pvp a dps
cleric an be socketed with full magic resist and in that case all of your magic
boost is useless when he can resist. For armor it self i
always used fabled armor, the green and blue we outgrow to fast to bother with
it,i recommend you use the coin sets up until you an do Steel rake which is an
46 + instance in sanctum.By doing the instance you can earn your self the Steel
beard set named after the last boss of the instance. Some pieces are drops while
others can be gained trough quests, afterwards the armor i find most useful
would be the miragent set,you can obtain it trough a series of quests, but keep
in mind that it doesn't come cheep and some of the quests aren't a breeze
either, for instance to get your legging you need to have a skill lvl of 449 (at
least) in some craft to be able to craft an item. For your orb/tome you need to
obtain 60 relics which have 1 out of 3 drop chance and afterwards you need to
travel to the divine fortress at the center of the abyss to kill 300
protectors. But at 50 you can enter Dark poeta which is a quite nice while at
the same time challenging instance where you can earn your self the Anuhart set
which is by some considered better than miragent,i can't say for sure for i
never completed my anuhart set. From there on you need to run Instances like Beshmudir
temple ( 53+ ) and Raksang (56+) to earn your self an armor that will hold you
till you get your kahrun set.The kahrun set is a lvl 60 set which can be
obtained trough kahrun symbols which you get trough [daily]-quests and
[weekly]-quests.It would be smart to have some pieces of the Beshmudir set and the Raksang set to keep you up until
your kahrun but,it is not necessary i still wear my miragent even at my
lvl.Another choice at lvl 60 would be the Siel's forgotten set which is a lvl
60 version of the miragent set,you obtain it trough quests which are neither
easy nor cheep to complete but i can not say much more on it for it is not my
desire to get it(may be as a collectable or a second set)
